Aid for Ukraine continues to send donations to Ukraine
The latest truck carrying goods kindly donated to the Aid for Ukraine project run by the URC churches in Marlow and Maidenhead, set out for Poland on 27 June. Our faithful driver, Pavel, made loading the truck easy, as always. We owe him a lot. From Poland, the aid will be driven into Ukraine by teams of Polish volunteers. The truck was loaded with flood relief supplies for Kherson and surrounding areas. Essential items like food, first aid supplies, water treatment tablets and towels were requested by those living in the area. Supplies were also onboard for two hospitals. The team would like to thank anyone who has donated to the cause in the last year. Our favourite phrase is “Every Pot Noodle counts” although there are times when we never want to see another one!
