Visiting Marlow

This attractive town on the River Thames offers both tranquil riverside walks and a centre vibrant with fantastic shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Situated on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, midway between Reading and Windsor, it is surrounded by the lovely countryside of the Chiltern Hills.

Marlow Bridge & All Saints Church

Marlow is rich in history, reflected in its Georgian and Victorian architecture, and is a popular tourist destination with its pretty High Street, parks and gardens. Businesses flourish in the town, with its easy connections to the Thames Valley and London. Marlow Town Council works hard to keep the town vibrant and attractive with the help of Buckinghamshire Council as well as local resident volunteers.

On-Street Parking 

On-street parking is free for 1 hour in the following streets  : Marlow High Street , Station Road, Institute Road, St Peter’s Street

On-street parking is free for 2 hours in The Causeway, Marlow

All the above on-street parking is monitored by sensors which send the information through to the parking wardens.

The Town Council manages the public toilets at Gossmore Recreation Ground.  Currently these toilets are open Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Update: The ladies toilets are currently closed for repair works.

Other public toilets are located at Riley Road and in Higginson Park, Marlow.  Opening times for these can be found by visiting Buckinghamshire Council’s website.

Shopmobility is a scheme offering the FREE loan of manual or powered wheelchairs, or electric scooter to anyone with limited mobility, temporary or permanent.  You do do not have to be registered disabled to use the scheme.
