The War Memorial at The Causeway in Marlow has been the subject of extensive conservation, cleaning and remedial works in recent weeks, and is now back to pristine condition.
The works, carried out by Cliveden Conservation, included repointing of the stone elements, resetting some loose stone at the steps, lime mortar repairs and removal of green staining. The bronze elements were cleaned, polished and waxed. The work has been timed to be completed ahead of Remembrance Sunday.
Mayor Richard Scott said: “It’s wonderful to see the War Memorial restored to its original glory.”
