In his first engagement since being re-elected as Mayor of Marlow for 2021-2022, Richard Scott visited the Dementia Action pop-up shop at 6 Liston Court this morning with Town Clerk Hilary Martin.
Dementia Action is a volunteer group set up for people living with dementia and their carers. The group aims to provide support and facilitate social interaction by making regular contact, arranging small ‘café gatherings,’ enabling friendships between those in similar situations, and providing a voice to improve the information and support available.
The Mayor and Town Clerk chatted with volunteers about their work in the community. “This is a valuable service for dementia sufferers and their carers,” Cllr Scott said. “We encourage everyone in the area who is dealing with this debilitating disease to contact them.”
