Marlow Town Council launches new Community Fund to support local ideas and events
Marlow Town Council is delighted to announce the launch of its new Community Fund, designed to support local community organisations, charities and clubs delivering projects, events and new ideas that benefit the town and its residents.
The Community Fund will provide Community Grants of up to £1,500 per organisation per financial year, with three application rounds per year to ensure projects taking place at different times of year can be supported. The scheme is being launched on 3rd February 2026, initially as a pilot, allowing the Council to gather valuable learning and feedback to shape how the scheme operates going forward. The aim is to gain a wider perspective on the funds required and to implement a grant process that is fair and transparent.
The £30k Grant Fund is open to registered not-for-profit organisations delivering community-focused activity aligned with the Town Council’s vision and priorities. Applications will be assessed for their community impact, innovation and the ability to deliver.
Councillor Frank Schoofs, Chair of Resources Committee said:
“We are excited to launch the Community Fund as a tangible demonstration of our commitment to investing in Marlow and its community. This Fund is about encouraging local initiatives and supporting the organisations that make a real difference in Marlow, as an investment into our community. The initial pilot will allow us to gather feedback and improve our funding programme that delivers the greatest possible benefit for our town.”
Webinar Q&A
To support potential applicants, the Council will host a free online information webinar on 3rd February 2026 at 6pm and at the start of each application round. The webinar will explain how the scheme works, talk through the application process and give organisations the chance to ask questions before applying.
