Residents and community representatives gathered at Court Garden House on Tuesday 12th May for the Annual Parish Meeting and Annual Meeting of Marlow Town Council, marking an important occasion in the civic calendar.
The evening began with the Annual Parish Meeting, where the outgoing Mayor presented an overview of the Council’s Annual Parish Report for 2025–2026. The report highlights the Council’s achievements, projects and community initiatives over the past year and its strategic plan for the future.
The subsequent Annual Meeting saw the formal election of Cllr Jennifer Simnett as Mayor and Cllr Olwen Elliott as Deputy Mayor for the 2026–2027 civic year, alongside the appointment of committee members and committee chairs across the Council.
Speaking following the meeting, the newly elected Mayor, Cllr Jenny Simnett said:
“It is a tremendous honour to be elected Mayor of Marlow Town Council. I look forward to working closely with fellow councillors, local organisations, and residents to continue building a vibrant, welcoming, and forward-looking community for everyone.”
The Council also thanked the outgoing Mayor, Cllr Muryel Boulay for their service and dedication throughout the 2025–2026 civic year.
