Marlow Town Council elects new Mayor

Summary

On Tuesday 13th May 2025 the Annual Meeting of Marlow Town Council welcomed over 70 members of the public to witness the swearing in of the new Council.

The meeting unanimously voted Cllr Muryel Boulay as Town Mayor for 2025-26, and Cllr Jenny Simnett as Deputy Mayor.

Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting and residents had the opportunity to meet their newly elected Council members.

Marlow Town Council held its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, 13th May at Court Garden House, welcoming residents to take part in an important evening for local democracy.

During the meeting, Cllr Muryel Boulay was elected as the new Mayor of Marlow, with Cllr Jennifer Simnett appointed as Deputy Mayor. The council also confirmed memberships for the Resources Committee, Planning and Transportation Committee, and Staffing Committee for the coming year.

“I’m delighted to be elected Mayor by my fellow councillors,” said Cllr Boulay. “I am very honoured to represent Marlow and to serve the residents of our lovely town.”

The Annual Parish Meeting also took place that evening, during which the outgoing Deputy Mayor presented the Annual Parish Report for 2024–2025.

Marlow Town Council thanks all those who attended and looks forward to working with the community in the year ahead.
