The roundabout at Wiltshire Road has had a colourful facelift, thanks to Marlow Town Council.
The two-phase scheme of planters on the roundabout was completed last week, with the addition of hanging baskets on the light columns at the centre of the roundabout and on adjacent roads.
The first phase was box planters in the centre of the roundabout. “The planting is a riot of colour and has cheered up the much-neglected roundabout,” Hilary Martin, Town Clerk, said. “It helps the entrance to the town to look well tended and welcoming.”
Town Mayor, Cllr Richard Scott said: “The floral display at this entrance to Marlow adds to the summer hanging baskets already in place in the town centre. We continue to make Marlow an attractive place to live and visit.”
The project was the brainchild of Marlow Town Council, which has used CIL funds, (Community Infrastructure Levy) to pay for the scheme.
