Town Mayor's New Year Lunch

Town Mayor, Cllr Jocelyn Towns welcomed over 100 Marlow Senior Citizens to her New Year Lunch in the elegant surroundings of the General Higginson Room, Court Garden House on Saturday 28th January 2012.  See below their lunch menu and a list of the raffle prizes.   Each guest was given a free entry into the raffle.     Westside Fruit Ltd at Booker donated a luxury fruit basket.  The Mayor presented the winner of the Mystery Prize with an envelope containing £50.   Town Councillors also attended the event and joined the Mayor's guests at the tables in order to get to know their residents and vice versa.

Guest all left the lunch with a small gift from Marlow Town Council and also an invitation from the Rotary Club of Marlow to go on their  free River Trip on 11th July 2012.   Many guest have said what as lovely time they'd had and that  it was good to catch up with old friends and neighbours.

If you are aged 65 and over and would like to put your name on our database to receive an invitation to next year's lunch, please contact Marlow Town Council, 01628 484024 or email: office@marlow-tc.gov.uk.  If you have already put your name down on the database, you do not have to register again.  The invitations are sent out in strict rotation.
