Riley Play Area

The Town Mayor and trustees of Riley Park officially opened the Riley Paly Area on the 21st June.

This project is the culmination of a lot of hard work put in by Marlow Town Council, Riley Park Trust, a local community group and Sainsbury's, who kindly donated £40,000 towards the cost of the new play equipment.  The park was in danger of being closed and Marlow Town Council stepped in to ensure its future.

The equipment and design was chosen following a consultation with young people and adults who were asked to choose from 6 designs.

All primary school children were invited along by the Town Council for the official opening of the refurbished play park.  A balloon modeller and  face painter, organised by the Town Council, were at the park to make it a fun afternoon for the children.  Representatives from the company who won the bid for the new equipment, SMP, were also in attendance with free fruit juices and free giveaways to those who attended.
