New Mayor Sworn in at Annual Meeting
Councillor Suzanne Brown was sworn in as the Mayor of Marlow for 2013-2014 at the Town Council Annual Meeting on Tuesday 7th May 2013. The Deputy Mayor is Councillor Bob Johnson.
"I would like to welcome you to our website as the new Mayor of Marlow.
I have often been asked why I became a councillor in the first place. I was persuaded by a former Mayor in 2006 when I said I wasn't interested in politics, but in looking after Marlow.
I had been in the IT industry for 15 years and then moved into the area of property. I own my own lettings business and also run Marlow Age Concern in Glade Road.
As Mayor of Marlow, I intend to continue looking after the best interests of Marlow, but a great Mayor has to have a good team behind her, namely the officers at Marlow Town Council, my fellow voluntary councillors and the groups and residents within the Town. Working together we will achieve so much more."

Marlow was awarded the prize based on the success of its small businesses in 2012 and its percentage of shop front vacancies, which is 7.5 per cent lower than the national average.
